Together with changes in the rules of racing in Formula-1, in 2014 the Russian racing team Marussia Motors F1 will use in their cars new engines from another manufacturer. The current supplier Cosworth units will no longer receive orders for components, as Marussia F1 has already signed a partnership with the motors manufacturer Scuderia Ferrari.
The official website of the racing division Marussia Motors published the confirmation regarding this information. Also, the company expresses its impatience to check new engines in their cars. Paired with Ferrari engines there will be supplied gearboxes and all the redundant systems.
Ferrari engines are considered quite efficient for the team, as they are less expensive than Renault motors. Units supply for one season shouldn't cost more than 15-16 million Euros
Today, Russian-English team Marussia F1 is set for a major part in the competition in world series races in 2014, and the new engines should help them in this, in both sides: economic and technical.
