Mitsubishi and Fiat-Chrysler confirmed their plans for the release of a joint model of midsize pickup truck on the platform of the new generation of the popular Mitsubishi L200 (in some countries - Triton). How would look the new car in the segment for Fiat 2016 is not known yet, but there are a few rendered pics of the five-seat version made in Photoshop. Though there may be less differences between the Italian and Japanese versions.
At the time, as Mitsubishi will produce the car for almost all countries, Fiat will limit itself to European and South American markets. The name and any but official data regarding technical specs and prices of all-wheel drive fiat not available. Production will start not earlier than in 2016, and at the same time will begin sales of new product.
Most of the design at renderings was taken from the Italian futuristic concept FCC4 - pick-up of the future, which premiered at the auto show in Brazil last month.
One can only assume that there will be two versions of the drive: pickup Fiat 4x4 and 4x2. Also there could be 2-seater variant, king-cab with the landing formula 2+2 and version with dual 5-seater cabin. The engine range will most likely consist of two diesel engines (128 hp, 181 hp) and gasoline engine with 128 horsepower. But there can be its own engines from Fiat Doblo and Scudo models. Additional information will be available closer to the end of 2015.
