Today Volkswagen Audi Group officially introduced the new electric e-Up! Special version of the five-door mini subcompact VW Up! 2013 with an electric motor will be shown live this week in Wolfsburg at the annual conference for investors and press.
The car has 18.7 kWh battery and motor with 55 horsepowers and 210 Nm of torque. When appropriate, new motor of mini-VW can give a peak of 82 hp, which is enough to accelarate the electric Up! to 100 km per hour in 14 seconds and reach a maximum of 135 km/h.

Drive range of VW e-Up! is about 150 miles with a quite normal style of driving, but the engineers were able to achieve a good result in battery charging time - about 30 minutes for 80% of full battery capacity. Vehicle weight is 1185 kg, installed aerodinamic bumpers, LED lights, special 15-inch wheels and a decent set of options inside. Presale version of electric Up! will be presented in Frankfurt in September, and sales will begin in late 2013 or early 2014.
